Great-West Financial® builds sales team to support advisers across the United States
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., June 4 — Great-West Financial® today announced the appointment of two new regional sales directors as part of the firm's expanding commitment to serving the independent broker-dealer channel.
Jo Harrison and Kevin Olean have joined the firm to focus on the growing demand for an array of Great-West Financial variable annuity products within this important distribution channel.
“Shifting demographics are driving increased demand for offerings that help Americans save for retirement and protect their financial security,” said Chris Bergeon, vice president, Financial Institutions Markets. “Great-West Financial is adding new positions and talented team members to ensure independent broker-dealers have the support they need to help Americans achieve their financial goals.”
As regional sales directors, Harrison and Olean will work with advisers to bring Great-West Financial’s variable annuities to independent distribution channels – Harrison in the Midwest, including Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, western Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and Olean in New York.
“Advisers and their clients in the Midwest and New York will benefit from Jo’s and Kevin’s extensive experience in and understanding of variable annuities and investment product sales,” Bergeon said.
Both new hires have extensive backgrounds in financial services and impressive accomplishments.
Jo Harrison
Before joining Great-West Financial, Harrison served as regional business consultant with Curian Capital, LLC, as well as regional vice president, business development consultant and internal wholesaler for Jackson National Life Insurance Company. Harrison received a bachelor’s degree in history from Colorado State University. He is a certified fund specialist and holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses.
Kevin Olean
Olean worked as senior regional sales consultant with Prudential Annuities Distributors, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of New Haven, as well as FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses and variable life professional licenses in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont. While at Prudential, he was recipient of the 2006 IBD 1st Year Sales Achievement Award, 2009 IBD Innovation Award, 2012 IBD Salesmanship Award and 2012 IBD Sales Team of the Year Award.
